Global Aliya Indonesia Foundation was established with the vision to promote excellence, compassion, and service. It has the following primary missions:

  1. To cultivate human excellence through education, advocacy, and training based on mutual understanding between people of different cultures, religions, and civilizations;
  2. foster compassion and assistance in areas of social justice and humanitarian affairs;
  3. promote advocacy for peace, nonviolence, social and gender justice, and inter-religious harmony;
  4. provide services that enhances human spiritual, mental, and physical well-being.

Global Aliya Indonesia Foundation promotes excellence, compassion, and service to create a mutual and lasting friendship between Muslims and people of different cultures. It engages issues that matter to Muslim societies and people of other cultures, religions, and civilizations through education, social justice programs, and interfaith work.

Global Aliya Indonesia Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in Bandung and received its legal status from the Legal and Human Rights Ministry in Indonesia on January 26, 2012. The foundation is located in Katapang, Bandung Regency, West Java, Indonesia. Bandung Regency is a town consisting of over three million people located in the southwestern part of Java Island, Indonesia. It has a 5.88% economic growth rate with a human development index at 74.24 points.

Global Aliya Indonesia Foundation fosters dialogue among Muslims recognizing that the word ‘Islam’ means so many different things to Muslims around the globe. Such a dialogue is timely and urgently needed in order for us to have a mutual understanding and respect for our differences and to acknowledge our diversity as humans. Indonesia provides a unique opportunity for Muslims around the globe to learn and engage since it has the biggest majority Muslim population in the world along with a representation of various languages and ethnicities. Indonesia is also known for its moderate view on Islam.  Global Aliya Indonesia Foundation seeks to promote understanding of the diversity of Indonesian Islam globally, educating Muslims with skills necessary for local and global engagement, and supporting service to enhance justice and equality for all.
