Like in the previous year, Global Aliya Indonesia conducted a week long training program this Ramadan. The second Transformative Ramadan Training ran on June 22-June 28, 2015 with the goal of creating individuals with good characters. Most activities were held at the headquarters of the foundation.
In order to achieve this goal, the participants learn the meaning of Ramadan fasting beyond ritual. Emphasis is given to character building. They also learn how to express their opinions both orally and in writing in Arabic and English. In addition they also learn how to learn other practical learning skills.
The facilitators of this training include students and graduates of the Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University, graduates of the Nusantara Islamic University, and teachers at Global Aliya Indonesia.
The last event in the series was held at the Alawi's Orphanage House in Soreang where all participants came to the orphanage to break their fast with the orphans and to give them gifts as a token of care from the participants.
